Based on Vasyl Barka’s novel The Yellow Prince. With the Bolsheviks come new orders to the village: first they plunder the church, then they begin confiscating grain from the people. The Katran family, hiding a saved church relic, continues to live by conscience even as the world around them collapses. But soon famine arrives at their door as well.
